Framing à la Française

Françoise invites IWCB members to her basement workshop to learn French framing techniques (encadrement). We are able to see some of the amazing work that Françoise has done during the 10 years since she first learned these techniques back in France. The encadrement techniques rely on decorative papers, precise measurements and beveled cuts to turn a postcard sized original, note card or copy of a photo into a unique work of art. We learn the simplest of techniques, but leave at the end of the afternoon with our own framed piece.
